President Bush Signs Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act

As you may be aware, President Bush has signed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act today, making it a law. As of today, PartyGaming has ceased accepting bets from US customers.

We expect that the nature of the player behaviour on the platform will vary significantly over the next few days until it stabilizes.

As a result, your affiliate reports may show variances from your usual numbers.

We request you to bear with us until Monday, October 16, 2006 and wait for things to smoothen out and stabilize.

Information for Affiliates on the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006

On September 30, 2006 the United States Congress passed The Safe Port Act. That measure also contained certain provisions known as the ‘Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006′. On October 2, 2006 PartyGaming made an announcement regarding the impact, the Act would have on business when, as expected, it is signed into Law.

What is the impact of the Act on our business?

PartyGaming will no longer accept wagers from US Customers once the Act becomes Law.
